Radiant skin is influenced by hydration, nutrition, sleep, sun exposure, smoking, hormonal changes and the condition of the skin barrier. A pomegranate, orange, berry and ginger drink like the one shown can supply fluid, vitamin C and antioxidant plant compounds, but it cannot detoxify the body or transform the complexion after one glass. Human trials suggest that selected foods—including avocado, mango, pomegranate, tomato, flaxseed oil, soy and fermented milk—may support hydration, firmness or resistance to ultraviolet stress when consumed consistently for several weeks. These drinks should complement daily sunscreen and appropriate skincare rather than replace them.
The recipes below are arranged according to common skin-type concerns. The complete combinations have not been clinically tested as finished treatments; their main ingredients are supported by human studies. Choose one drink at a time and prepare it fresh.

Remedy 1: For Normal Skin — Avocado, Mango and Kiwi Glow Smoothie
Ingredients
- Ripe avocado: ¼ medium fruit
- Fresh mango: approximately 85 grams
- Kiwi: 1 small fruit
- Plain unsweetened yogurt: ½ cup
- Rolled oats: 1 tablespoon
- Ground pumpkin seeds: 1 teaspoon
- Cold water: 100–150 millilitres
Scientific Working of Each Ingredient
Avocado provides monounsaturated fats, carotenoids and vitamin E. In a small randomized study, women who ate one avocado daily for eight weeks showed improvements in selected measurements of facial firmness and elasticity. This smoothie contains less avocado than the study intervention, so the effect may be smaller. (PMC)
Mango contains carotenoids, vitamin C and polyphenols. A pilot trial found that 85 grams of mango consumed regularly reduced selected wrinkle measurements in fair-skinned postmenopausal women, while the much larger 250-gram serving did not provide the same benefit and increased some wrinkle measurements. This supports using a moderate portion rather than an oversized fruit drink. (PubMed)
Kiwi contributes vitamin C, which the body needs for normal collagen formation. Yogurt and pumpkin seeds provide protein, zinc and healthy fats, while oats add fibre and make the smoothie a more balanced meal.
Procedure
Peel the mango and kiwi. Blend all the ingredients until smooth. Drink it as breakfast or alongside a small protein-rich breakfast rather than adding it to a heavy meal.
How Often to Drink
Drink once daily for five days. Continue three or four mornings weekly for eight weeks.
Initial Results
Within one to three days, the drink may improve breakfast quality, hydration and fullness. Changes in firmness or fine wrinkles should not be expected before several weeks.
Remedy 2: For Combination Skin — Pomegranate, Red Grape and Pear Cooler
Ingredients
- Unsweetened pomegranate juice: 120 millilitres
- Seedless red grapes: ½ cup
- Ripe pear: ½ small fruit
- Fresh mint leaves: 5
- Chia seeds: 1 teaspoon
- Fresh ginger: 1 thin slice
- Cold water: 150 millilitres
Scientific Working of Each Ingredient
Pomegranate contains anthocyanins, ellagitannins and other polyphenols. In a randomized trial, women consumed pomegranate juice, pomegranate extract or placebo for 12 weeks. The pomegranate groups demonstrated greater resistance to ultraviolet-B-induced redness. This was nutritional photoprotection, not a substitute for sunscreen. (PubMed)
Red grapes provide anthocyanins and proanthocyanidins. A placebo-controlled trial of a standardized grape-derived oligomeric proanthocyanidin beverage evaluated skin moisture and ultraviolet-related colour changes. Ordinary grapes contain less controlled amounts than the research preparation, but they contribute similar families of polyphenols. (PubMed)
Pear and chia provide fibre, helping the drink remain more balanced than strained juice. Ginger and mint improve flavour without adding refined sugar or excess honey.
Procedure
Blend the grapes, pear, mint and ginger with pomegranate juice and water. Stir in the chia seeds and allow the drink to stand for five minutes.
How Often to Drink
Drink once daily for five days, then continue four days weekly for eight to twelve weeks.
Initial Results
Hydration and digestive fullness may improve during the first few days. Pigmentation and sun-related skin changes will not disappear quickly.
Remedy 3: For Oily Skin — Tomato, Red Pepper and Cucumber Savoury Drink
Ingredients
- Tomato paste: 2 tablespoons
- Red bell pepper: ¼ medium pepper
- Cucumber: ½ cup
- Fresh coriander or parsley: 1 tablespoon
- Extra-virgin olive oil: ½ teaspoon
- Ground black pepper: one small pinch
- Cold water: 200 millilitres
Scientific Working of Each Ingredient
Tomato paste is a concentrated source of lycopene. In a randomized controlled trial, women consumed 55 grams of tomato paste providing 16 milligrams of lycopene in olive oil daily for 12 weeks. The intervention reduced several markers of ultraviolet-related skin damage. The smaller amount used here provides nutritional variety but is not equivalent to the clinical dose. (PubMed)
Olive oil helps the body absorb fat-soluble carotenoids from tomato and red pepper. Processed tomato products generally make lycopene more bioavailable than raw tomato alone. (PubMed)
This savoury option contains no honey, syrup or concentrated fruit juice. It will not directly stop sebum production or cure acne, but it can replace a sweet beverage while supplying carotenoids and vitamin C.
Procedure
Blend all ingredients until completely smooth. Add additional water when necessary. Drink it with breakfast or lunch rather than on an empty stomach.
How Often to Drink
Drink once daily for three to five days. Continue three times weekly for approximately twelve weeks.
Initial Results
The drink may help reduce morning added-sugar intake immediately. Changes in oiliness, acne or skin tone require broader dietary and skincare changes.
Remedy 4: For Dry Skin — Flaxseed, Soy and Strawberry Barrier Smoothie
Ingredients
- Unsweetened soy milk: 200 millilitres
- Food-grade flaxseed oil: 1 teaspoon
- Strawberries: ½ cup
- Rolled oats: 2 tablespoons
- Almond butter: 1 teaspoon
- Ground cinnamon: one pinch
- Cold water: 50–100 millilitres
Scientific Working of Each Ingredient
Flaxseed oil contains alpha-linolenic acid. A randomized, double-blind 12-week study reported improved hydration and smoothness, along with reduced water loss, scaling, roughness and skin sensitivity after flaxseed-oil supplementation. The trial used a measured oil intervention, so one teaspoon in food should be viewed as supportive rather than an equivalent medical dose. (PubMed)
Soy milk provides protein and isoflavones. In a longer controlled trial involving postmenopausal women, soy protein with added isoflavones improved skin hydration and reduced selected measurements of wrinkles and uneven pigmentation after several months. Ordinary soy milk is less concentrated than the research preparation. (PubMed)
Strawberries supply vitamin C, while oats and almond butter add fibre, protein and fats that make the drink more filling.
Procedure
Blend the soy milk, strawberries, oats, almond butter, cinnamon and water. Stir in the flaxseed oil after blending. Consume it as breakfast or a substantial snack.
How Often to Drink
Drink once daily for five days. Continue three or four times weekly for eight to twelve weeks.
Initial Results
Fullness and dietary hydration may improve after the first serving. Dry skin will still require a suitable topical moisturiser, and barrier changes take weeks.
Remedy 5: For Sensitive Skin — Pear, Blueberry and Fermented-Milk Smoothie
Ingredients
- Plain unsweetened kefir or live-culture yogurt: ¾ cup
- Ripe pear: ½ small fruit
- Blueberries: ¼ cup
- Rolled oats: 1 tablespoon
- Ground sunflower seeds: 1 teaspoon
- Cucumber: ¼ cup
- Plain water: 100 millilitres
Scientific Working of Each Ingredient
A randomized trial found that daily consumption of a specific fermented milk containing Bifidobacterium breve and a prebiotic helped maintain skin hydration after four weeks. Probiotic effects depend on the exact microorganism, dose and preparation, so ordinary kefir or yogurt cannot be assumed to provide identical results. (PubMed)
Pear, oats and blueberries provide fibre and polyphenols. Sunflower seeds supply vitamin E and unsaturated fats. This mild smoothie avoids citrus, caffeine and strong ginger, making it a more comfortable option for people whose stomach or skin flushing is aggravated by acidic or stimulating drinks.
Procedure
Blend all ingredients until smooth and consume immediately. Do not keep the prepared smoothie at room temperature.
How Often to Drink
Drink once daily for five days. Continue three times weekly for four to eight weeks if tolerated.
Initial Results
Digestive comfort or general hydration may improve within several days. This drink will not treat eczema, rosacea, hives or food allergy.
Final Tips for Long-Lasting Glowing Skin
Choose only one glow drink per day. Large quantities of fruit juice can supply considerable natural sugar and calories, so use whole fruit, controlled portions and unsweetened ingredients. Honey is optional but unnecessary in naturally sweet smoothies.
Use a gentle cleanser, apply moisturiser while the skin is slightly damp and keep makeup brushes, towels and pillowcases clean. Sleep consistently and avoid smoking.
Apply broad-spectrum, water-resistant sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher every morning. Sun protection remains more important for preventing uneven tone and premature ageing than any drink. Reapply approximately every two hours during continued outdoor exposure. (American Academy of Dermatology)
A fresher appearance may begin within two or three days when hydration and meal quality improve. Clinical studies reporting changes in moisture, elasticity or wrinkles generally continued for four to twenty-four weeks.
Diet Plan for Radiant Skin
Breakfast: Choose one smoothie above, eggs with whole-grain bread, plain yogurt with oats, or lentils with vegetables.
Lunch: Eat beans, lentils, fish, chicken or tofu with leafy vegetables, tomatoes and a moderate serving of whole grains.
Snack: Choose whole fruit with walnuts, almonds, pumpkin seeds or roasted chickpeas.
Dinner: Include protein, colourful cooked vegetables and a moderate portion of brown rice, potatoes or whole-grain bread.
Weekly rotation: Include guava, kiwi, citrus fruit, berries, mango, tomato, peppers, carrots, leafy vegetables, legumes, fish, seeds and unsweetened soy foods.
Follow the selected drink and diet plan for at least eight to twelve weeks. Consult a doctor or dermatologist if dullness persists alongside severe acne, facial swelling, itching, scaling, unusual paleness, fatigue or rapidly changing pigmentation. People with diabetes, kidney disease, food allergies, pregnancy, breastfeeding or regular medication use should seek personalised dietary advice.
